Most meetings open with a reading, someone shares for a while, and others speak if they want to. It lasts about an hour, and it is free, though a basket goes round for the room hire. A residential rehab facility of this kind generally combines a supervised medical detox, whether that is a drug or alcohol detox, with a structured treatment plan and aftercare planning for long-term recovery, rather than the outpatient counselling most people start with; the exact mix of individual and group therapy on offer is best confirmed with the service directly. There is no private residential clinic based in Orange itself. Private residential rehab in Australia almost always means travelling, most often to Sydney or interstate, and paying privately for drug and alcohol rehab or alcohol and drug addiction treatment.
